FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILIES (GRADES 6-8 )

Middle school is the time to build a foundation of curiosity, not just check boxes.

We help your student explore their interests and understand the foundation of building an application narrative—whether for private schools or future college applications.

Our Early Edge Middle School programs are designed to expose students and their parents to the foundations of the selective application process. Whether you are laying the groundwork for high school and college, or actively preparing for competitive private school applications, we provide expert strategy, milestone-driven guidance, and a clear roadmap for the transition ahead.

OUR NEXT COHORT STARTS SEPTEMBER 1ST

The pressure to prepare for college and high school is starting earlier than ever.

You may be asking yourself these questions…

Is it too early to start thinking about the college track?

How do we help them explore without burning them out?

Are we missing important summer opportunities?

How do we translate their hobbies into a cohesive story?

What do selective private high schools actually look for?

OUR NEXT COHORT STARTS SEPTEMBER 1ST

Preparation does not have to mean pressure.
It means understanding how to navigate the years ahead with intention.

A strong high school or college application is not built by packing a schedule with random activities. It comes from making sure academic choices, extracurricular exploration, and summer plans work together to tell a clear story about who the student is and how they think.

Strategy Must Come Before Execution

Middle school families need strategy before execution. You need to know what matters, what to prioritize, and how to foster genuine intellectual curiosity. This not only leads to stronger outcomes later, but it saves your family time, frustration, and unnecessary stress right now.

Built Specifically for Middle Schoolers

The Early Edge Middle School programs were created for this exact developmental stage: when a student is transitioning from childhood exploration into more structured academic and extracurricular commitments. We focus on aligning student’s natural interests to create a roadmap for the journey ahead.

If you think your student just needs good grades and a few clubs,
you may be missing the bigger picture.

Academics matter. But for middle schoolers, the bigger question is: How are they developing their interests, and how will that transition into a compelling high school narrative?

Early Edge Middle School is built for families who want guidance on the big picture, not just isolated advice on what classes to take.

This is not for you if you are looking for…

Early Edge Middle School is built for…

If you want to lay a strong foundation for the years ahead, now is the time to get the strategy right. Our next cohort starts September 1st, start alongside peers and get the most out of the program as the school year begins.

Choose the level of support that

Every family’s journey is different. We offer two distinct programs tailored to your specific goals for the transition out of middle school.

Early Edge Plus™

Early Edge Premium™

How strategy changes the outcome
for middle schoolers.

Admittedly’s approach demonstrates how much a clear strategy matters. Strong students often arrive with advanced academic achievement, but selective high schools need more than a list of courses and grades. They need to understand the student’s thoughts, context, and potential contribution.

CASE STUDY #1:

Strong Potential, Hidden Story

Admittedly Strategy: We connected the rhythms, patterns, and strategies of competitive state-level tennis, conservatory piano, chess, and advanced math into a single narrative of profound intellectual curiosity.

Student Outcome: Admitted to Stanford Online High School (SOHS), the #1 best private online high school in America.

CASE STUDY #2:

Late Start, High-Stakes Choices

Admittedly Strategy: We recommended skipping the early round due to a lower SSAT score and then built the application around a coherent environmental consciousness stemming from lived experiences in the Pacific Islands.

Student Outcome: Admitted to Suffield in CT, one of the best boarding schools in the country.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Is it too early to start thinking about college in middle school?
It is too early to stress about college, but it is the perfect time to build a strong foundation, and understand what matters most in the application process. Our goal in middle school is to help parents understand what matters next and ensure students are well-positioned for the transition to high school.
Early Edge Plus™ is designed for families who want strategic direction, a custom Early Edge Action Plan, and expert guidance on high school course selection. Early Edge Premium™ is a more intensive program specifically for families actively applying to competitive boarding or private independent schools, including extensive essay support and application review.
Absolutely not. Our philosophy is that preparation should replace pressure with clarity. We focus on aligning your student’s natural interests with a manageable, milestone-driven roadmap, ensuring they have time to be kids while still building a compelling narrative.
Your family will have a dedicated Admissions Strategist who leads your one-on-one Milestone Calls. You have access to our monthly Ask Admittedlys and Admittedly Academies led by our team of former admissions officers and experts, including Thomas. You will also be supported by a Student Success Coordinator, and depending on your program, Essay Specialists. Your team collaborates to ensure you receive the best guidance.

Our Enrollment team will review your application. If it seems like a mutual fit, you will have a complimentary call with us to discuss your student’s current goals and whether Early Edge Plus or Premium is the right next step.

Our next cohort begins September 1st. While you can enroll at any time, we strongly recommend starting with a cohort so your family can move through the program alongside peers, stay on track with the curriculum, and benefit from the structure and accountability of a shared start date.

If you’re considering the program, don’t wait. Secure your spot for the September cohort so you can get started right away rather than waiting.

Your family does not need to navigate the transition to high school guessing.

The choices and skills in middle school lay the groundwork for the years ahead. Early Edge gives your family a focused, strategic path forward with guidance from our expert team.

We help you and your student understand the importance of an authentic, compelling foundation for the future.
